MSLF Scope & Sequence

At the Montessori School of Lake Forest (MSLF), we dedicate ourselves to Montessori principles in order to care for and provide an education in excellence to children and families from birth through age fourteen. We offer a rigorous academic curriculum that includes development of skills in the areas of practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, humanities, geography, and science while also focusing on the child’s social, emotional, and physical developmental needs.

The MSLF Curriculum Scope & Sequence was created to help parents better understand the Montessori curriculum and progression at each level.

At MSLF, we understand that children are naturally curious and love to learn. We support this innate drive by providing environments that meet the children’s developmental needs, guided by experienced and highly-trained staff. Our curriculum follows the child, allowing for mastery of a skill before moving on to the next. Lessons are offered based on the child’s readiness, allowing each child to receive an individualized educational experience.
